Studios

The Florence trust was founded in 1988 by artist Patrick Hamilton, in the derelict church of St Saviours Aberdeen park.

For the next 30 years the FT ran an international residency programme for 12 artists each year.

In 2022 the FT moved from its old home and began opening affordable studio spaces. Now including:

Edmonton Charity Girls School (6 studios)

Holy Trinity, Islington (10 studios)

St Francis of Assisi, Dollis Hill (10 studios)

In 2025 the residency program will begin again in another new studio building and run along side the trusts affordable studio provision, community outreach work, gallery space and “Writers Room” project – run by “Wild Pansy Press”
